DIY Pixies
Sunday, August 30th, 12 pm PST
This class is for people who already have short-ish hair above the chin who feel like their hair is bulky, growing out over the ears, becoming a mushroom, getting too long on the neck, and who want more texture, want to go shorter, and play.
This class is not for people who want perfect hair, or for people with long hair (unless you’re brave and love to play).
Learn how to:
-
cut the hair around your ears that tends to hang over and get bulky
-
trim the back where it gets heavy on your neck
-
remove all that bulky weight that makes a pixie look like a mushroom
-
and add a lot of texture using a razor
-
no haircutting experience needed
I take it very slow and step by step so you can watch the class, and then go back and cut your hair along with the class recording.
By the nature of short hair, there are always some sort of bangs, even if they graze your cheekbones, or if they are longer ones that barely touch your chin. If you don’t already have bangs, I suggest taking the bangs class beforehand, and I’ve bundled the classes with a deep discount here.
You will learn simple, beginner-friendly techniques to add piecey ends, remove bulk, and give the whole thing a lift. It will be so fun.
âś´ This class is recorded and you have access to rewatch as you cut!
✴ YES, these classes are for everyone. Even if: your hair is curly, you have a short or high forehead, your hair is thinning, your hair is huge and bushy, bangs have never worked on you, you have huge cowlicks, your hair is incredibly thin, your hair is silver or grey, you wear glasses, or you have curls. I cover all of this.
✴ The razor I suggest is the Feather Razor (long or short is fine, I recommend purchasing through Jatai. Plus you can take 15% off your first Jatai order with code Jayne15.) This razor is incredibly common in the haircutting world and if you cannot get it shipped to where you live, you can find it at your local beauty store or online in your area. Just look up “Feather Plier guarded razor.”
I can't wait to see your selfies and celebrate with you as you learn to do this!
